Ginny Stegent, RN, CRRN, CDMS,
CLCP is a registered nurse with more than 38 years of
experience in the healthcare field. Her nursing experience
includes intensive care, coronary care, pediatrics, administration,
and rehabilitation. She holds three national certifications in
rehabilitation and was also an adjunct professor and taught part of
the brain injury section for the post-graduate course in life care
planning through the University of Florida.
She has been in the rehabilitation
field for 28 years, having worked in both hospital rehabilitation
and insurance rehabilitation/case management. She spearheaded
the start-up of a major national rehabilitation/case management
company prior to starting her own company, Med-Legal Services, Inc.,
in 1992.
Ginny is the owner of Med-Legal
Services, Inc., a company in which she has owned for 20 years, that
provides case management services, medical legal reviews of medical
records, life care plans, life care plan reviews, and life care plan
rebuttals, as well as a variety of other services.
Ginny is also the Past President of
the Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, Greater Houston Chapter,
and served on the Board in a variety of positions for 5 years.
Special areas of interest include life
care planning on cases involving brain injuries, spinal cord
injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, birth injuries, and cerebral
palsy. She has provided life care plans for both plaintiff and
defense firms and prides herself in providing an honest and
equitable plan for either side.
